Here is what the DEN GM said after they won the championship:
Nuggets general manager Calvin Booth was candid about his franchise’s goals when we met for lunch in Denver this offseason. “Our guys are tired. It’s going to be hard to repeat,” Booth said.
“But if everything is optimized, we should win three or four [titles].”
Well....everything was optimized. They had no injuries. They just lost to a better team. When one becomes champions kasi every team gears up to beat your team. They acquire the necessary talent in order to have a shot at dethroning you.
