Pina-upgrade ko sya sa NextBase Service Center thru Western Festival Appliances... sa western ko kasi siya binili but then ang nag-upgrade is from the NextBase Service Center din which is located in Binondo.

Oo puede mong gamitin yung ATP3 (Altec Lansing), the one i connected with it is VS2221 Model... ngayon tungkol dun sa problem mo kung paano ico-connect... bibili ka nang Altec Lansing Y-Adaptor, mahirap maghanap nito kasi sa mga hinanapan ko combo lang siya sa mga unit nang altec lansing models na kasama talaga siya... pero siempre share ko sau kung saan ako nakabili... PC Corner meron nito.

Expect a hefty price kasi as fas as im concern masyado ata nilang tinubuan ito but what can i do, i tried buying on the net but the problem is that they don't deliver here in the philippines kaya wala tayo choice. 4++ ang price nito.

Hope this helps... anyway I'm glad i found one na ang ginagamit na sound system is Altec Lansing... IT ROCKS!

Bought my NB-656 last Friday and tested it, here are the results:

PROS:
* Good quality pics
* Nice sounds
* Easy to use menu and remote
* Not choosy on media - all of the CD-R / DVD / DVD-R I tested were played.

CONS:
* It hangs (no reaction on remote and console buttons) whenever it tries to play an unsupported file format.
* Delay of Microphone sound output ( does anyone knows how to remedy this?).
* Stop and resume does not function when you leave it at a long time (i.e. 5 mins)

Any suggestions?

I forgot to mention - I bought a Karaoke DVD containing 1000+ MPEG-4 files but NB-656 can only read 600+ files. How about your Nextbase players?

Will try to check later for the file extension but as far as I know all the files in the DVD share the same file ext. and format.
How about the mic problem, any suggestion?

I suggest you test it also, maybe I'm not the only one with this problem. I contacted techpoint and they suggested for me to bring the unit back to the shop where I got it. I plan to to check their display model for the same problem and test the mic I'm using. (Tested the mic at home with a boombox and no problem). I guess there"s an incompatibility problem with the mic and Nextbase 656?

I went to the Dealer yesterday and tested the mic with their NB-656 display model and all went OK so I will bring my player back to the dealer and have a Techpoint Technician check it.

Got it replaced with a Samsung DVD-365K - The XviD encodec Band of Brothers and the Utada Hikaru MTV Acoustic (MPEG) that are skipping in NB-656 played well on the 365K. Got 2 mic jacks - only problem was the slow response time and no audio channel selection (L/R) with MPEG4 playback.

mga sir help lang po..how come yung NB656 "unknown disc" ang lumalabas pang pinasok ko yung p*dvd na naruto anime na 25 in 1..pero pag try ko sa generic player na ganzklar ang brand ok naman..wat seem to be the problem?

bad disc?? try copying the p*dvd disc onto a DVD-R (preferably, a full iso copy) ... might just be a "compatibility issue".

had the same problem with particular p*dvd... kept skipping on my standalone player. i made a dvd-r copy. and the the copy played flawlessly.

help mga sir..kasi yung nb656 ko parang bumabagal ang pagbasa/loading...some disks ko pag nag play nag fefreeze sandali den nagpapatuloy pero dati flawless yun pag pineplay ko..meron ding minsan na unknown disk ang lumalabas na dati pumeplay naman...wat seem to be the problem? is there something wrong with my unit or marumi lang ang lens(i hope)..is so anong marecomend nyong pang linis kung marumi lang talaga ang lens? tnx! by the way mga 4-5 mos na ang unit ko..

my sister's NB dvd player is experiencing the same when reading avi/divx file burned into a dvd-r media.
we can browse the file but when playing/selecting the movie, it just display loading then hang up.
is there's something wrong with the lens or the media we are using?

ako kakabili ko lang last month sa astroplus...so far eh la nman akong problema..halos lahat ata ng klase ng dvd, cds, eh nag pplay cya...i highly recommend this model ng dvd ng nextbase..may 1 yr warranty pa...aside sa itsura nya eh ganda ng features nya...parang ps2 na slim kumbaga...bagay na bagay cya sa vcr mount ko...and the price P3999 ok na kung nasa generic na klase cya ng dvd players...student lang ako pero nabili ko toh gamit allowance ko sa OJT ko..sa mga gustong bumili nito eh sa astrovision, astroplus sa SM andami nito... : p ..tnx mga repapips

Can the NextBase NB-656 play Anime titles flawlessly?
I've read a couple of problems concerning the aspect ratio, can this be remedied?
Specifically, can play ANY fansubbed video, from DB to Oyasumi to Ureshi to Megami to Kyuuketsuki to WtW, any. (AVI<--yes yes /OGM<--yes / MKV/MP4 <--why not)

How about Ogg Vorbis and AC3, are they supported? I read at a previous post that OGG Vorbis is not displayed in folder menu. So is it supported but it's just not displayed, or it isn't supported and isn't displayed?

I'm seriously considering to buy this within the week, this is so far these are the only things that's stopping me.

i got a this unit for my brother 4-5months ago..ok pa naman light usage.. one thing i dont like is the subs do not have the black transparent background so its extremely unreadable in light background scenes..also divx is not so clear its has the "jaggies" parang hindi smooth yung mga edges unlike philips..but hindi naman siya mahilig sa divx kaya no prb sa kanya!

bad media or bad burn, try using another brand of cd-r.

maybe not.

since the player is under warranty, we go to sm and have it tested by their staff, they found out that it is really slow loading and hang ups.
after 2 weeks of service(repaired), the player is back to smooth operation.
