DVI to HDMI
« on: Aug 02, 2006 at 10:49 AM »
Fellow members, I am looking for somebody who is willing to swap a straight HDMI to DVI cable (working condition) for my brand new DVI cable and a female DVI to Male HDMI adaptor.

The reason why I am swapping my cable is because the adaptor when attached with the DVI cable, it does not fit the space at the back of my plasma.

The PiP feature of my plasma will only work via HDMI.  :(

Here are the pics of my cable and adaptor.

Video shops should have these cables with them for the convenience of buyers of the goods they sell specially for these pricey projectors.

Correct.  Meron nga sila DVI(D)-HDMI.  I think it's 1.9k for 12feet.  Sa Mega it's in the glass display sa electrical section, bottom most shelf (near the branded rechargable batteries).  Meron rin sila DVI-DVI.

I want to connect my PC (with DVI port) to my LCD TV with an HDMI port (no VGA port). Where can I buy (cheaply) a DVI-HDMI cable? Five meters kailangan ko.

TIA.

DVI to HDMI
Sir,
Help naman. Ayaw ma detect ng samsung LA32A330J1 ko yung pc using DVI to HDMI / HDMI to DVI.

Set mo sa hdmi 1 or 2 yung tv mo depende kung san nakasaksak yung hdmi.  ;)

Try to set your monitor's reso first to 1024x768 or lower when you are using your vga cable. Turn off your pc then use your dvi-hdmi and see if this works. Usually kasi plug and play lang yan.

Gagana yan sir.  I also encountered the same problem as yours before pero after a while when I tried using dvi-hdmi again it worked fine. ;)

DVI to HDMI, hrap akong iset-up sa LA40A650 Samsung LCD. Minsan lumalabas sa screen na "NOT SUPPORTED" kapag nka 1080x768.

I got it working on the VGA (PC input) connection. Nvidia Ge Force 7600GT ang video card ko.

How about using S-Video Male (PC) to your S-video Male (LCD,TV) should that work?

Wala talagang signal! Kahit babaan ko ng resolution yung pc ko to 1024 x 768 using DVI to HDMI.

Is there any type of HDMI to DVI cable? Verified na good yung TV. I'm using now HDMI cable to
Pioneer DV600-AV. Ewan ko talaga kung bakit no signal sa PC ko using HDMI to DVI cable.
San ba may mabibilhan nito kahit sa alabang. I'm from cavite eh!

Malinaw din as parang naka HDMI...

DVI to HDMI?
I just got my PY850 and I wanted to connect my mac mini to my tv. I used to connect this to my LG lcd tv. The LG and mac mini both have DVI ports so when I connect them, I get wide screen 16:9 output. My PY850 has VGA input only so I used an adapter. However, when I tried everything, the output was only 4:3. Is this because of the VGA input? If I use DVI to HDMI will I be able to get 16:9?

Where can I get DVI to HDMI cable?

hindi kaya sa settings lang yan. the mac and the tv itself have settings for aspect ratios.

pag cable naman, i saw some being sold in the marketplace.
