Hi guys, especially to new_age. TA-30 and EVO3 is one of the best combination that i ever heard / experience so far. It involves you when it plays, especially with a rotel cdp.

New-age,

Naconfirm na ni Novice na ang system mo maganda tumunog.  At ang sabi mo, matinik sa rock.  Your system is the best!!

Para doon sa mga hindi type ang Evo 3, makinig na lang kayo ng gulong ng palad :)  Pati malamang, hindi kayo Pinoy kasi Pinoys have the best ears!!! :)

there is no better way than to bring in your Nad 320bee amp to Archi Audio and audition it with the AE Evo3 ... they allow that even without commitments....Look for Chad or Epoy....they will assist you to the max!

Good luck!

any comments on Aelite 2 ?

I'm curious also about the Aelite 2. Two drivers in a bookshelf speaker. Also, the cabinet is made of real wood not MDF. I'll probably give this a listen.  Anyone here listened to these already? Thanks.  :)

Short  short  Short Review of Aelite 2

I listened to the AE Aelite 2 in the treated listening room of  Audio Space in Megamall and the verdict is Two thumbs up!!!. This is a loudspeaker that i can live with the  typical "British Sound" from a loudspeaker made in Malasia  ;D, mind you that Aelite 2 is quite expensive for a bookshelf at 31K, considering that you cant group it the  "high End" bookshelves and you cant call it entry level too, so it nestled somewhere in the middle, its for someone who wants to upgrade from the entry level models, but cant afford the high end gear.   I would put the Aelite 2 as a loudspeaker with a bit more detail compared to the Evo line but still warm enough not to offend

The question is will I changed to the Aelite 2 ???, hmm tough call, can I lived with the tradeoff, my current loudspeaker the Kef 105.2 has a similar tone, but can slam you with powerful sound due to its 12 inch woofer...sadly my KEF is just too big for my house ...think think think...

its deciding if I can live with the tradeoff I earlier mentioned.

I was playing my Drum Test tracks and other demo disc and was thinking  "how often do I play these tracks ?"... these tracks, requires a full range loudspeaker to sound right and I literally had a blast yesterday as the wife and the kids were out on the park..solo ko bahay hehehe... but most of the time   Sub & Sat system may suffice for other listening pleasures... isip isip isip

Thanks for that short review  :) so when are you buying them? hehe  ;D

im also in search for a bookshelf.  like qguy, im also inclined to get aelite2.  i like warm sounding equipment.  can you recommend other warm sounding setup.  i intend to pair it with harman kardon and a rel subwoofer.  my would be place is kind "small" or limited in space.

Depending on how loud and the type of music you listen too.. the AELITE 3  ($$$) , Aelite 1, and AE EVO range should be good... want something warmer.. oldies like Celestion Sl6 si / sl 600 are good contenders if you can find them. their very laid back !!! love it

Guys,

I previously owned and Evo 1 and I was also fortunate to listen to Aelite 2 and even Aelite 3.

I was able to AB the Evo 1 and Aelite 2 at Digital Dreams in SM North and here are my observations:

Both speakers were connected to the new HK970 Integrated Amp using Transparent brand speaker cables.

1. Aelite 2 has more detail.
2. Evo 1 has a bigger soundstage and much extended bass (which was for me "betterer")
3. Aelite 2 was, in my impression mas manipis tumunog than Evo 1.
4. Imaging was better with Aelite 2 because instrumets were well defined that Evo 1.
5. For me mas warm ang sound ng Evo 1.
6. Evo 1, it seems, was more difficult to drive. You have to turn the volume up a bit more to hear details.
7. Aelite 2 has real wood finishing while Evo 1 uses only compressed MDF.
7. Finally, Aelite 2 more expensive by more that 100% (obviously).

Additional lang. You should listen to Aelite 3. Impressive! Kakagulat ang soundstage, ANG LAKI TUMUNOG.

Yun lang.

Bro, I know OT na to. Pero gusto ko lang tumulong.

For warmer or sweeter sounding speaksers, try listening to other brands of speakers. If you have the budget for an Aelite 2, considering its price, try listening also to EPOS ELS3 or even M12.2 or Dali Suite 1.7, Aurum Cantus Leisure 2 SE. Pakinggan mo rin yung Traingle, which is sabi ng iba bright but experienced listeners claim that some of its speaker series are quite warm naman, like yung Titus 202.

Choose carefull, kasi investment yan eh. I'm relating based on experience, ksi may ilang speaker brands na rin akong naranasan na I though "this is it" na.

Sabi ko nga tumutulong lang po.

the EVO 1 has a slight hump in the mid bass, which makes it sound na "mas mataba"

Just joined here and was reading your thread.

I have an old  "new" AE 107 CS and am very happy with it ;D.  Significant improvement from my previous one, an Eltax not sure what model though.  The ones they have on the dispaly at the top floor (AE) are beautiful!

Cheers!

 Hi James,

It's kind a hard looking for a brand new one now, they say it's out of stock na, even in the buy and sell section before, I didn't see any   :(  got an evo 1 kasi that's looking for a partner. Pero by asking around or the dealers may be able to order you one.  :)   Good luck sir
