Good day. I've purchased several DVDs and small items from Amazon years back. However, I am eyeing a watch that costs around 25K in pesos. May I know if it's still subject to taxation before claiming if I order it directly from Amazon instead of forwarders like JAC? Do I still need to pay anything before claiming the item?

^computation you see when checking out will be the total amount. It will be delivered right at your doorstep.

Malaki lang ang tax nyan given the purchase price.

Better if you have a relative or friend flying home hand carry it instead.

Up to 10k lang ang free sa tax duties.

I bought an appliance worth 25k coz it is only available abroad. Bought in amazon uk because in 220V there.

I used Shipping Cart as my door to door delivery. It took almost 2 months to be delivered due to the size, but I only paid 71USD for shipping. no tax.

Try to use shipping cart. They have a good app for tracking. For me they are better than JAC. It is owned by LBC so local shipping is by LBC.

They ship from US, UK, AU and South Korea

Try mo ang Buy and Ship Philippines.

620 pesos for the first pound and additional 380 for each subsequent pound.

They also have an option for duty paid shipping.

Anyone else encountered this "issue" with AMAZON lately ?

Some months ago was the first time, during this pandemic-era, that I wanted to purchase something from AMAZON ........ I can't login, since AMAZON put in this security check/mobile number confirmation - however, no confirmation SMS ever comes.

Even resending notification a few times, I don't receive anything.

I have 2nd factor authentication enabled but I use a mobile authenication app to generate OTPs. When I login using a trusted device, I also tick the "stay logged in" box. I avoid SMS authentication because for one, like in your case, I often don't receive the text and secondly, this method has been known to have been exploited by hackers.

You might have to contact the Amazon customer service via email or chat to gain access to your account.

there's a big building here in Ayala Cebu that is Amazon customer service but the thing that's very puzzling when you email them or call their customer service hotline there's no response.

It just so happened na na-lock out ako sa amazon.co.jp account ko dahil nakalimutan ko ilipat yung OTP authentication credentials ko nung nag palit ako ng phone. Na recover ko yung account na hindi ko na tinawagan yung hotline nila.

May link dapat doon sa baba ng 2nd verification page na parang "other methods of OTP verification" something.... tapos sa next page, dapat yung option to receive SMS OTP or phone call OTP pero in my case parehong hindi gumagana kasi wala akong natatanggap na text or call so doon ako na stuck. Again, sa baba nitong page, dapat may link papuntang "account recovery" something tapos papunta yun sa isa pang page kung saan may recovery instructions at link para makapag upload ng ng government issued identification.

Dapat doon sa ID, naka conceal lahat ng personal information except for name and address na dapat pareho sa name and address na registered sa amazon to confirm your identity. Pagkatapos may email sila na ipapadala kung ok na or kung may additional identification pa sila na hihingin.

tawag lang sa customer service or kung may chat option un screen nyo. sa moa amz call center. tagal na wala ako (umalis nung nagka covid outbreak pinas; wala pa kasi bakuna noon)
sa moa ecom harap ng sm hypermart, uv express terminal mga bpo cc buildings.sa dulo bldgs amz mnl. malaking sign sa taas. cant miss it, tingala lang. o tambay sa starbucks ng bldg, baka may mga taga amz mnl doon. btw wala kayo makikita naka lanyard id ng amz 🙄😃

Amazon now offers free shipping to PH for minimum of $50 purchase (select items of course).

checked an item and the price was competitive to local sellers/distributors even on their own conversion rate. actually mababa nga sa kanila but there was a 100+ pesos conversion rate guarantee fee.

Unlike weeks ago, pumapasok na ngayon ang confirmation SMS sa mobile number ko (part of security check/mobile number confirmation during loign).

Eksakto dahil free shipping, eksakto din sa mataas na USD. Hehe.
