Check asorted buy and sell.

You can find branded receiver there for as low as 7K

Branded receivers pay licenses to Dolby and DTS to be able to use the proper decoding chips and have their logos on their receivers.  I don't think generic receivers pay these things that's why their so-called 5.1 sets are so cheap and may not have the right decoders for the job.  I am not even aware of any generic receivers with Digital input or toslink input to be able to process these data streams properly in the digital domain.

Back to basic muna tayo joel_h.

So far wala pa akong nakikitang DTS receiver the generic, even Dolby Digital Decoder/Receiver na generic, meron man, kaso wala pa dito sa Pinas.

I think you mean is a 5.1 speaker system or a receiver with 5.1 analog input. The CHEAP 5.1 speaker system na nakikita mo around is just a 5.1 amplifier system with 6 speakers and has 5.1 analog input.

Meaning your DVD player must provide the DTS and DD decoding in order to achieve DTS/DD sound.

The solution is to buy a DVD player with built in DD and DTS decoders. Maraming nagbebenta ni sa Buy and sell section, 5-6K ang range, branded pa.  :)

most of the DVD players that have 5.1 analog outputs have DD and/or DTS decoders. so if you have a generic 5.1 speaker system that has 5.1 inputs then u can enjoy DD and DTS..... You might wana check out ur pioneer player if it has 5.1 analog outputs otherwise, u may not be able to enjoy DDor DTS with your Ganz Klar.

u can buy a good pre-owned (or sometimes brand new) DVD players here..

The problem kasi, DVD players na built-in yung DD/DTS decoders do not amplify the sound.  You have to increase the volume via the TV, which is at around 15 watts. Kaya bitin, especially if you have a large bedroom or living room.
