try mo inquire from this site --> http://cinefilipino.com/

i didn't see that title from their catalogue but they do allow people to inquire about old filipino movies we want to see on dvd.

It's weird but Orapronobis is offered in downloadable form at Archive.org

http://www.archive.org/details/Ora_Pro_Nobis

Its listing probably means that the rights to the film has fallen to public domain.

The last time I saw this was on VHS tape in the 90s. I know the CCP owns a copy of that.

It's a wonder how it ended there.

Could it mean that the property holders were no longer interested in it?

I was told that since Brocka only died in 1991, his works are still not public domain. But there may be other factors to this since its obviously out there na. Who could've uploaded it?

That I'd like to find out.

Orapronobis was funded with French money. I wonder if the financers had something to do with the property falling into public domain.

Any comment about the quality of the video?

Does the film bring back any memories or sentimental moments?

Have you seen the DVD release of Himala? Slightly better than that.

No particular sentimental fond memories since I only saw this in a dark room back in college in 1997 or '98. And I was too young to particularly care for the years 1987-89.

There are some visual details near the end of the film that caught my attention: at the hideout of the vigilantes, there were pictures of Marcos and Rambo (both were anti-communists).

In an earlier scene (colonel's office), there was even a poster of the 1986 film Cobra.

Oh. You meant those kinds of sentimental memories.

Still, no  :D
