Anya, kelangan lang to for your eyes' health.  Nakakapagod and nakakahilo manood ng madilim lalo sa middle aged persons.  Pero kung matibay ka pa rin and you dont feel anything at all even when the room is pitch dark - swerte mo.  He he he.

It doesnt have to be blue.  Any back lighting would lessen eye strain.  Yung iba, simple lang na clip light with krypton (yellow) lamp, facing towards the wall at the back of the TV to bounce off light.  Effective na rin yon to protect your health.

sir applicable din ba ito when watching "educational videos"? ;D ;D ;D

Educational as in Nat Geo stuff or educational as in Biology or educational as in "lessons in life"?   ;D

Anyway, it's applicable to anything.

Pero kung wala ka talagang nararamdaman kahit magdamagan kang humarap sa LCD with no room lighting at all, ang tibay mo Bro.  Nakakainggit ka.   ;D

I'm using a cheap Ikea brand for only P200.

pinakamaganda dapat directly sa likod ng panel, but if you wan to do this dapat sa wall nakakabit yung light, hirap mag butas pa, or since magaan lang ang light, pwedeng velcro sa wall. kaso for me, its more convenient to just put it behind the center speakers, just like @dyerds. and its acceptable to me naman.  ;D

Depende po sa inyo ma'am. Pwedeng both sides, taas at baba or four sides. Ibaba pa lang yung nilalagyan ko kasi hindi ko pa alam kung papaano ko ilalagay yung isa. Just like what sir jeyps11 posted ayoko ko rin kasing lagyan ng double adhesive yung likod ng tv ko.  ;D

What my friend in Tokyo chose are 2 tall lamp shades designed facing upwards with adjustable ilumination.   Ang ganda ng dating sa interior design.  Pero ang ganda rin yata ng price.

That's not what I'm using. I'm using ang Ikea brand which can be bought in Ace for about P200. I don't have time to take a pic of it. Pasensya na.  :)

To those who want to use PC stuff (neon LED fans, cold cathodes) externally, get this.
