Sad news: just got an email that Disney and the various Fox channels will stop airing in SE Asia starting October 1, to focus more on their streaming service. Sky will deduct them from my bill, but i liked watching Foxlife and Fox movies. And my nephew liked Disney as his babysitter

This sucks big time. That means wala na din yun fox sports. Can't watch those tennis grand slams and f1 races na.

Im sure cignal is also affected by this?

another option from IPTV that is legit, less channel than IPTV but better user interface and with on-demand features is subscribe to Sling TV (you would need a smart DNS) ... when I initially cut my cable subscription, I just have an antenna connected to my tv for the local channels and a Sling TV subscription ... it's $35 a month but well worth it if you love to watch sports and other US channels - no issues with buffering or any quirks that IPTV sometimes have, price is just about the same as a premium local cable subscription

VPN or Smart DNS ... to make sure it's working, they have several days free trial ... if you're not satisfied, you cancel before they start billing you

Technically, if you need a VPN/masker, then it's not really legit....

I'm using ExpressVPN and it works well with Sling TV. compared to my paid IPTV before, much better ang loading ng channels almost no buffering and it's like using a regular cable tv. and video quality is much better than HD channels of Sky/Cignal.

Hi there, long time no see. I've been gone for a while now. But now I'm back and I gonna share with you what going on now on SKYcable:
1. DreamWorks on SKYcable - I've been waiting this channels to arrive and on Nov. 1 it finally came. I've been watching DreamWorks channel since it launch and I can finally watch again Dragons: Race to the Edge since I watched this on Netflix when the free trial is still a thing. One thing to note here is when this channel launch here there would be a Filipino dubbed version in SD and an Original English version in HD.  Cignal has this but Sky has both SD and HD in Original English audio. So why Sky decided to not to bring the SD Filipino dubbed channel? And also what Shows are you watching DreamWorks ?

2. Sports on SKYcable - In 2022 sky is giving a plethora of sports channels since Disney/Fox channels ceased their broadcast including Fox Sports. At first in October 2021 new channels include Premier Sports, SpoTV, SpoTV 2, Tap Movies and Tap Action Flix. Three of those are Sports channels. Then in January 2022 Premiere Tennis rebranded to Premiere Sports 2 and BeIn Sports 1 & 3 is now available to selected Sky Cable Plans, they also re incarnate BeInSports 2 to feature Tennis sports including the Australian Open and The French Open. Our HD 549 plan now has 8 sports channels all in HD. That makes Cignal a run for its money when it comes to sports offerings.

3. Global Trekker on Sky? When I visited the Sky website and for updates, I saw what's on Sky this February and one of those is another new channel coming. It's called Global Trekker from the channel that brings you Rock Entertainment, Rock Extreme and ZooMoo. It features lifestyle and documentary shows. I don't when will this channel will launch but one of its shows has been promoted on Global Trekker that will premiere on Feb. 20.

So that all I know so far please comment about my post. I will share more post about SKYcable In 2022.

Wasn't global trekker what used to be Lonely Planet? Those shows in the late 90s early 2000s really triggered my itch to get out and experience different places.

Looks like Cignal is catching up in their channel offerings. They posted on facebook today they added more channels on selected plans including Premier Sports 2 HD, BeIN Sports 1 & 3 in HD. You can check their website for details.

So how do you compare SkyCable HD 500 vs. Cignal Plan 520 in terms of quality and quantity of their channel content? And what they have and have not in their lineup?

Looks like SkyCable is Ready to bring a 4k channel this month. The latest post from Sky's website "what's new in March" Features another new channel this month with Love Nature 4k. This is the first time will see a dedicated 4k UHD channel on in our country. I think those who have Sky Evo box will Access this channel but those who have 4k tv will benefit this too. I don't have a 4k tv but I have a Sky Evo box; but could it work on Full HD tv with an EVO box?

It should but the EVO box will downsample it to Full HD so what's the point. You need a 4K TV to fully enjoy it.
