Mine's still going strong after almost 7 years. Had myself 2 LED tvs that both died on me, my Pana TH 42PV80 still rocks harder. Ive given it a few tweaks to restore out of the box black levels by resetting the eeprom and pictures came alive like when it was new:-) Im still enjoying and loving every moment with it.

I have 1 pv80 for parts already. Handy man over tightened mounting screw and punctured the screen and it bled out. The board works and other parts except for screen. If you need just let me know

Me gumagamit pa ba nito dito?

My 50PV80 is already 10 1/2 years old (April 2, 2009 purchase, posted my purchase early in this thread)), and quality and picture is superb til this day and still running excellently never had any problems with it. Di ko mapalitan kse ayaw ni missis palitan hanggat di nasisira ;-). Sulit na sulit tong tv na to!

This is by far I think the best of the best bang for your buck TV.

My personal PV8 is also alive until now. Grabe tibay ng TV nato.

I just don't use it that often anymore. Since near field computer use ako usually.

But the TV itself doesn't have any signs of defects (lines/distortion/noise) at all.

Bakit hindi ganito quality/durability ng newer TV's (all brands)?

Mine is still in the bedroom. With the black restoration trick that i still do from time to time, i am still loving it. Imo, it still has one of the best anti reflective screens.

Yesterday  my Panny TH-P42VT30S Fritzed out.  It powers on with green light but with seconds I get the dreaded 7 blinking red lights on the power button. Anyone else have this problem on this unit or other high end Panny Plasma?  Any recommendations?

8 Years life span was not bad. I downsized my residence recently. I have an older Panny TH-42PV80H which  has been set to one side and not used for over  1 year. I am guessing this is now 10 years old or older.  It has now replaced my 42VT30 and is working well and PQ looks  good enough.  I consider myself so lucky to have it. Fingers crossed it will last another 10 years :)

I welcome all your feedback and comments.

Hi Guys. Been a while since I posted. I have lurked from time to time.

I rarely watch TV but when I do I use my Panny LCD 32 inch CsX.   It is about 9-10 years old and I use it with my Xoimi streaming box in the bedroom.  At times I move the streaming box in to the "entertainment room" and hook it up to the Plasma PV 80 But  I have not  done so for a long long time.  Yesterday My wife asked me to sell the Panny Plasma.  I told her there is no market for  plasma and I if it actually still works it is certainly on its last legs Today I bought the GMA AFFORDABOX digital receiver and hooked it up to the Plasma PV 80 via HDMI. I did so hoping the plasma would still turn on. Like I said  it's been a year.  Low and behold the  Panasonic PV 80 STILL ROCKS HARDER!!!!!!  Wife and I are Loving the PQ.  Keeping the faith!!!!

Anyone else still watching plasma?

My 50PV80 is already 14 years old (April 2, 2009 purchase). Perfectly working. This is un-die-able.

Naka replacement remote controller na lang ako since nag conk out na original remote a year ago.
